About
Analytics stopped matching how people buy.
Buyers now send AI assistants to research before they visit. The analytics most sites run was built for a world where every visitor was a person in a browser, so it filters the agents out as noise and loses the first half of the story. We're building the analytics for the funnel as it is now.
What we believe
The principles Punchline is built on
- Track the agent, not the person. Software behavior can be studied in detail; people stay anonymous. Sales signals are about companies, never individuals.
- Show the evidence. Every label says why it was given and how sure it is. A number you can't check is a number you can't defend.
- Say what we can't see. Some agents are hard to tell from the person they work for. We label what we can verify and say plainly where the limits are.
- Same facts for agents and people. When Punchline serves agents a markdown version of a page, it's made from the page people see. Showing machines something different is cloaking, and we won't do it. If a site turns on share links, the markdown ends with one line, a link to the same page, never an instruction to the agent.
- No numbers we can't source. Every figure on this site links to where it came from, or comes from our own measurements.
Who we are
Built by Opsscale
Punchline Analytics is built by Opsscale, a small independent company. We use it on this site, and it's the only analytics this site runs.
